What is a CNC control retrofit?

A CNC control retrofit replaces the control system (the computer, drives, and operator interface) on an existing CNC machine while leaving the mechanical structure intact. The result is a machine with modern, supportable control technology running on proven mechanical components. Retrofits extend machine life by 10–15 years and restore full production capability without the cost of a new machine.
