MachMotion

How It Works

A retrofit, from first call
to lifetime support

No mystery, no hand-waving. Here's exactly what working with MachMotion looks like and where you can decide to keep going or stop.

The Process

Six steps. Every one has an obvious deliverable so you always know where the project stands.

A retrofit, from first call
01

Discovery & qualification

You tell us the machine: make, model, control brand, what it makes, what's failing. We ask the questions that matter and determine the best path forward.

  • 15–30 minute call with an engineer
  • No high-pressure sales pitch
  • Straight answer: retrofit, repair, or replace
02

Machine information gathering

For qualified machines, we collect the details we need to scope the retrofit properly including drives, motors, spindle, I/O count, options, and any accessories that have to stay in the picture.

  • Nameplate and axis data
  • Overall pictures of the machine
  • Accessory list (ATC, probes, coolant, etc.)
03

Engineering review

Our engineers spec the control package including HMI, drives, motors, I/O, and cabinet layout. You know exactly what's going on before anything is ordered.

  • Control package tailored for your machine type
  • Fixed-price quote → no surprises
04

Build & quality test

The control system is assembled and fully bench-tested in our facility before it ships. Wiring is verified. Software is configured for your specific machine.

  • Control built to your machine spec
  • Full quality test before shipping
  • Software pre-configured
05

On-site turnkey installation

MachMotion's expert technicians travel to your facility and perform the full installation on-site. The machine never leaves your floor. Most retrofits complete in 5 business days.

  • 5 day planned downtime window
  • Technicians travel to your location
  • Machine stays on your production floor
06

Commissioning & lifetime support

The machine is verified to spec and your operators are trained before we leave. Lifetime remote support begins the moment the machine goes back into production.

  • Machine verified to productions standards
  • Operators are trained on-site
  • Lifetime remote support and diagnostics
